Treasury has released for consultation the exposure draft amendments to the Competition and Consumer (Consumer Data Right) Rules 2020 (the CDR Rules), a consultation paper, explanatory materials and a draft Privacy Impact Assessment. 

Draft rules

Treasury is seeking feedback from stakeholders on the exposure draft rules and the related questions set out in the consultation paper.

These rules take into account stakeholder feedback on the Consent Review and Operational Enhancements design papers, released on 25 August 2023.

A summary of stakeholder feedback in response to the design papers is also included in the consultation paper.

Stakeholder forum

Treasury will host a stakeholder forum to supplement the written submissions process and to answer questions about the exposure draft rules and the consultation process.

The forum will be online via Microsoft Teams.

You can submit responses to this consultation up until 09 September 2024. Interested parties are invited to comment on this consultation.
