The Australian Government is seeking views on the exposure draft of the Competition and Consumer (Industry Code‑Franchising) Regulations 2024.

The draft regulations remake the Franchising Code of Conduct to:

The explanatory statement and information paper will help you consider the draft regulations.

Submissions should focus on:

  • the proposed changes to the code
  • whether the legislation and explanatory materials give effect to the Government response.

 

Responding

You can submit responses to this consultation up until 29 October 2024. Interested parties are invited to comment on this consultation.

While submissions may be lodged electronically or by post, electronic lodgement is preferred. For accessibility reasons, please submit responses sent via email in a Word or RTF format. An additional PDF version may also be submitted.
