In the October 2022–23 Budget, the Australian Government announced that Treasury would undertake a review of the regulatory framework for managed investment schemes.
The review examines whether the regulatory framework is fit‑for‑purpose and considers what enhancements can be made to reduce undue financial risk for investors.
Consultation
A consultation paper was released for feedback from 4 August 2023 to 29 September 2023.
Findings
Treasury provided the findings of the review to government in May 2024.
