We maintain 3 separate registers of prospective candidates interested in appointment opportunities within Treasury portfolio bodies.

You’ll need to register your interest to be considered.

Appointment options

Appointments:

  • can be for statutory or non-statutory bodies.
  • can be part‑time or full‑time positions.
  • may not need you to relocate if they’re part‑time.
  • are often paid positions. Remuneration is generally set by the Remuneration Tribunal.

Eligibility and registration

To register your interest, select the register relevant to the position you wish to be considered for and complete the registration process.

Treasury Portfolio Board Appointment Register

For appointments to Treasury portfolio bodies, excluding the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Some positions require knowledge, experience or qualifications in areas such as:

  • economics
  • law
  • taxation
  • accounting
  • corporate governance
  • the administration of companies.

Experience in senior management, as a Chief Executive Officer, or as a board member is also highly regarded.

  2. Read and ‘Accept’ the privacy statement.
  3. You will be asked to provide your qualifications and education details, employment history, details for referees and supporting documentation.
  4. Complete your application and click ‘Submit’.

Reserve Bank Monetary Policy Board Register

The Monetary Policy Board is responsible for determining monetary policy, and other policies for contributing to the stability of Australia’s financial system.

Monetary Policy Board members must hold significant leadership expertise in:

  • open-economy macroeconomics
  • monetary economics
  • labour economics
  • economic modelling
  • financial markets
  • banking and financial system stability
  • regulation or
  • industry and business conditions in Australia.

  1. Select ‘Apply’ and then ‘Register for recruitment’.
  2. Read and ‘Accept’ the privacy statement.
  3. You will be asked to provide your qualifications and expertise, upload your resume, including relevant employment history, and complete the questionnaire.
  4. Complete your application and click ‘Submit’.

Reserve Bank Governance Board Register

The Governance Board is responsible for overseeing the management and organisational affairs of the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Governance Board members must hold significant leadership expertise in at least one of the following fields: finance, audit and risk management, technology, business operations and/or corporate governance.

  2. Read and ‘Accept’ the privacy statement.
