Board appointments

False

Treasury maintains an active database for those interested in being considered for appointment to statutory or non-statutory bodies within Treasury portfolio.

The skills, knowledge and experience required will depend on the type of board. Some positions require knowledge of or experience in specific areas such as economics, law, taxation, accounting, administration of companies or corporate governance (to name a few). Senior management or board experience (including as a CEO) can be advantageous.

Please refer to each listed board, their website and governing legislation for their specific requirements.

There are a range of part‑time or full‑time positions. Most part‑time positions do not require candidates to relocate.

Many of the positions are remunerated with remuneration set by the Remuneration Tribunal.

If you are interested in being considered for one of the bodies listed below, please complete an application.

By completing the application you are consenting to your information being provided to areas within Treasury responsible for membership of the relevant bodies, other interested Treasury Portfolio Agencies, Ministers responsible for appointments and other Commonwealth officers who are authorised to seek candidates to fill positions on Australian Government Boards or bodies.

Your personal information is subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). Your personal information will not otherwise be used or disclosed without your consent, other than as required or authorised by law. Personal information will not be disclosed overseas. You have the right to access and correct records of your personal information held by Treasury.
