Review of the Tax Practitioners Board - Background and Events



The following events have been scheduled as part of the review of the Tax Practitioners Board:

Roundtables Sydney – 8 April 2019 9.30am – 12.30pm
1.30pm – 4.30pm
Melbourne – 9 April 2019 9.30am – 12.30pm
1.30pm – 4.30pm

Invitations have been sent to affected professional associations and some other groups. Anyone interested in attending the roundtables and providing a submission should first check with their association. If your association is attending, contact them to ensure your views are considered.

Others who do not belong to an association are welcome to attend the Webcast on 12 April 2019. You can register for the Webcast by visiting the link to the Special Treasury Webcast.

Alternatively you might wish to join one of the roundtables. Again, you will need to register your interest by emailing by 2 April 2019. Please note there may be capacity constraints depending on the level of attendance.

The closing date for submissions has now been extended to 23 April 2019.

A Discussion Paper will be developed based on feedback and submissions received in response to the issues raised in the terms of reference.

There will be a further opportunity for the public to provide submissions when a further round of consultations takes place in July to August 2019, once the Discussion Paper has been published.
