Government Response to the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) Capability Review Report

On 17 July 2019 the Treasurer the Hon Josh Frydenberg released the Government's Response to the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) Capability Review Report.

On 11 February 2019, the Treasurer announced a capability review of APRA, led by the Chair Graeme Samuel AC, Diane Smith-Gander and Grant Spencer. The Report made 24 forward-looking recommendations which seek to ensure that APRA is best placed to deal with its future environment and the challenges which lie ahead. Nineteen recommendations were made to APRA and five recommendations reside with the Government.
