The First Nations Economic Partnership (Economic Partnership) supports shared decision-making between the Australian Government and First Nations Partners. It also encourages actions that support economic empowerment.
Establishment
On 2 August 2025, the Prime Minister announced the establishment of the First Nations Economic Partnership at the Garma Festival.
The Treasurer, the Minister for Indigenous Australians and the First Nations Partners signed the Partnership Agreement on 29 September 2025.
Purpose
The Economic Partnership will advance economic empowerment for First Nations people, communities and organisations.
Membership
The Coalition of Peaks and the First Nations Economic Empowerment Alliance are Co-chairs with Treasury.

Members and Experts
The Partnership may invite organisations to join as Members to give ongoing policy advice.
