The government will ban the use of adverse predictive genetic testing results in life insurance. We invite views on design issues for the measure. You can:

  • answer optional consultation questions in the paper
  • comment on how the ban will be applied.

The Assistant Treasurer announced plans for the ban. It will reduce deterrents to taking genetic tests. This decision followed an earlier consultation.

 

Responding

You can submit responses to this consultation up until 12 March 2025. Interested parties are invited to comment on this consultation.
