The government is making subordinate legislative amendments to increase funding for the National Housing Infrastructure Facility (NHIF), administered by Housing Australia.

These amendments deliver a 2024–25 Budget announcement to target a $1 billion increase to the NHIF towards crisis and transitional accommodation for women and children experiencing family and domestic violence, and youth.

Treasury is seeking stakeholder views on:

  • draft amendments to the Housing Australia Investment Mandate Direction 2018
  • draft Explanatory Statement
  • specific policy parameters.

Submissions received after 5pm AEST 6 September 2024 will be accepted and published on the Treasury website, but will not be considered.

 

Responding

You can submit responses to this consultation up until 06 September 2024. Interested parties are invited to comment on this consultation.
