Using technology to hold meetings and sign and send documents – August 2021

The Government is seeking stakeholder views on exposure draft legislation to support companies and their officers to use technology to satisfy Corporations Act 2001 requirements.

This legislation contains permanent reforms to facilitate the use of technology in meetings, to execute documents and send meeting-related materials.

These reforms make permanent the temporary relief currently in place which is facilitating the continuation of business through the Coronavirus crisis.
