Card payment fee
A fee will apply to card payments.
The fee:
- is a percentage of the amount being paid, based on the type of card
- is charged by your card supplier, not the Treasury
- will be reviewed from time to time and may change
- is not part of your Treasury debt

Before you finalise your payment, you'll be advised of the total amount including the fee.
Card payment receipts
When you pay using any of our card payment services, we'll give you a receipt number. The payment details will be displayed on your card statement as ‘XXXXXX‘.
Processing times
Your payment needs to reach us on or before its due date. You can use Government EasyPay 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Payments appear in your account in approximately 24-48 hours, longer on weekends and public holidays. We’ll process your payment the next business day if you made it:
- after 6 pm Sydney Australia Eastern Standard Time for AMEX
- after 9.30 pm Sydney Australia Eastern Standard Time for Visa and Mastercard
- on a weekend
or
- on a public holiday.
Unavailability of the service
The service may sometimes be unavailable due to technical issues. During these periods if you need to make a payment you should use an alternative payment method (EFT).

Payment information that you enter when using this site is processed and stored in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). This Standard has been developed by the PCI Security Standards Council which is an open global forum responsible for the ongoing development, enhancement, storage, dissemination and implementation of security standards for account data protection.
The information that you provide is protected through the use of Secured Socket Layer (SSL) 128 bit encryption. You will notice that the URL in your browser is "HTTPS" instead of "HTTP". The payment gateway service provider ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions via the Government EasyPay Online Service, may request personal information about a credit or debit card holder or digital wallet holder – to verify and/or process a transaction submitted by the Treasury, to send you information about a transaction (for example, a receipt) and for providing the Treasury or other parties in the payments system with information or reporting on transactions.
