National Rental Affordability Scheme

False

The National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS) aims to help increase the supply of affordable rental dwellings. Funding for new allocations ended in 2015. The dwellings remaining under the Scheme are coming to the end of their 10-year incentive periods. All NRAS dwellings will have exited the Scheme by end June 2026.

Responsibility for NRAS sits with the Treasury. The Department of Social Services administers the Scheme on Treasury’s behalf.
