On 16 June 2015 the Hon Joe Hockey announced that Australia and Germany will soon commence negotiations for a revised tax treaty.
The negotiations will seek to update the existing treaty which was signed in 1972.
The Hon Joe Hockey has invited public submissions to help inform the negotiations.
