The Petroleum Excise (Prices) Regulations 1988 are due to sunset on 1 April 2018 and will need to be remade so they continue to support the operation of the Petroleum Excise (Prices) Act 1987, which sets out the manner in which the price of crude petroleum oil and condensate is determined.
The exposure draft regulations will remake the current regulations whilst providing simpler language and ease of navigation. The changes are not intended affect the substantive meaning or operation of the regulations.
