Since 2006, Reconciliation Action Plans (RAPs) have helped organisations take real and practical steps towards reconciliation.
RAPs focus on three areas: relationships, respect and opportunities. They support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by promoting fairness and creating more chances to take part in the economy.
For Treasury, the RAP is a way to include reconciliation in its everyday work. It makes sure First Nations voices are heard when shaping Australia’s future. By using its role, Treasury can help achieve positive outcomes for the wider community.
